徐宝刚,北京人,1951年5月31日生。7岁开始学习书法,13岁时受教于薛如梅老师,学习颜体、柳体、王羲之的书法及绘画,奠定了书法及绘画的基础,提高了自己的爱好及悟性。后又从师于尹瘦石先生和王墨臣先生,并得益于胡爽庵、董寿平、官布等老先生的指导及教诲,提高了自己的书法和绘画的认知程度。在学习了大师的书法和绘画基础上,不断的研究了中国书法的精髓,并融入了自己对中国书画的理解,逐步的形成了自己的风格特点,求索艺术的提高,尊教于师造化,致力于学习,上下而求索,谦受益,方知学而后之不足,力求为中华艺术做出自己的成绩和贡献,使之中华艺术发扬光大。多年来,徐宝刚先生笔耕不断,甘于寂寞。坚持人民艺术为人民的宗旨,坚守为人民而艺术的情怀。赢得了海内外广大书法艺术爱好者的喜爱和尊敬。

Xu Baogang, a native of Beijing, was born on May 31, 1951. At the age of 7, he began to study calligraphy. At the age of 13, he was taught by Xue Rumei, and studied calligraphy and painting of Yan Ti, Liu Ti and Wang Xizhi, which laid the foundation of calligraphy and painting and improved his hobbies and understanding. After that, he studied under Mr. Yin Shoushi and Mr. Wang Mochen, and benefited from the guidance and teachings of old gentlemen such as Hu Shuangan, Dong Shouping and Guan Bu, and improved his cognition of calligraphy and painting. On the basis of studying the master's calligraphy and painting, I studied the essence of Chinese calligraphy constantly, and integrated my own understanding of Chinese calligraphy and painting, and gradually formed my own style characteristics, striving for the improvement of art, respecting teachers' creation, devoting myself to learning, seeking from top to bottom, benefiting modestly, and knowing the shortcomings of learning afterwards, so as to make my own achievements and contributions to Chinese art and make it flourish. For many years, Mr. Xu Baogang has been writing and willing to be lonely. Adhere to the purpose of people's art for the people, and stick to the feelings of art for the people. It has won the love and respect of calligraphy art lovers at home and abroad.

经文化部评审委及专家评定为国家一级美术师、国家一级书法师。应五台山书画研究院院长、东台主持释觉一大和尚邀请,被聘为五台山书画研究院副院长,现为中国企业文化促进会企业艺术家工作委员会委员。

It has been appraised as a national first-class artist and a national first-class calligrapher by the appraisal committee of the Ministry of Culture and experts. At the invitation of the president of Wutaishan Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute and a monk who presided over Shijue in Dongtai, he was appointed as the vice president of Wutaishan Painting and Calligraphy Research Institute and is now a member of the Working Committee of Enterprise Artists of China Enterprise Culture Promotion Association.

2015年被邀约参加《全国百位优秀人民书画家专题报道》由中国企业报道网、搜狐网等媒体报道。同年应邀参加《当代最具贡献书画家献礼70周大阅兵》国家级新闻媒体联播。

In 2015, he was invited to participate in the "Special Report of 100 Outstanding People's Painters and Painters in China", which was reported by China Enterprise Report Network, Sohu.com and other media.
